    Installing Hardi Board as Side
I am having hardi board installed on the outside of a garage that was converted to a bedroom. The individual doing the work stated that there is about 6 inches to over a foot of concrete foundation that goes around the room that was laid as the subfloor, so when installing the hardi board siding he is stoping about a foot above the ground leaving that bottom area exposed. He says he has to stop at that point because the rest is the concrete foundation which he can't drill into to hold the hardi board. Are there other recommendations as to what to do to have the siding go all the way to the edge so it looks better? Please help!

It can be done but its quite a bit more involved. You must drill each hole and use a concrete screw like a Tapcon. If you wanted me to do something like this I would do it but charge you more.
