    Wire keeps burning up
I have a Carrier condenser unit model # 38eno30340 serial number 0888e32967 that is having trouble. The other day I noticed the fan wasn't working and when I took the panel off noticed that the yellow wire to what I believe to be the capacitor was burnt to a crisp. I replaced the terminal and it was working fine for three days and now has done it again. I am concerned about doing that again as there is obviously another issue. I know the unit is old, but I'd like to repair it. Do you have any ideas?

Bad connections generate heat, the connector was half the problem, corrosion on capacitor will take out terminal quickly, both need to be good and intact. Replace Capacitor ,if that is what it takes to get a good clean terminal.
Terminal needs to be tight as well.
    Good Luck.
