Water bubbles; itchy, red flaky spots on both index fingers.
For over a month I have had these break outs on both index fingers, in the same place. They started as little water bubbles just under the skin. My dad told me that he gets them every once in a while, but nobody has ever been able to tell him what they are. The itched a lot, and would swell till they kind of hurt, he said popping them always helped. Popping them has only made them spread, and now my skin is really itchy, dry and sore. I have tried Antifungal creams and antibiotic creams with no result, any ideas?

I have for the last 7 months been having the same problem.
All my fingers apart from one have been affected, I get red dry flaky skin that's so tight it rips open when I make a fist, and when I cream it it sometimes leaves a yellowish liquid from mini spots.
It is impossible to always keep your hands lubricated and even if you could I doubt this would help in the long run.
Some times Feels like the skin has a mind of its own and will only repair when if feels like it.
I have tried everything, some times the skin if not treated gets so hard it feels like a rock from the affected areas, also if I run really hot water over them I can't help but feel relief but in actual fact I'm damaging them further.
I've used E45, Vaseline, and millions of other things even aloe vera, the look like they have been burned, I cover them with gloves but feel my hands need to breath, I'v even put plasters over my fingers and put gloves on when I take off the plasters the fingers sting like rooting meat but are very soft.
I'm getting to the stage were my doctor can't help and I feel like copping them off at times lol
Need some real solution, and by the way I have had eczema this is NOT eczema

Hi, I get this as well. The only thing I have found helpful is Micreme H. It reduces the itchiness and puffiness pretty quickly, and if you use it morning and night, clears up the worst of it within about 3 days or so. It does come back though. However, I am about 99.9% sure mine is caused by an intolerance to lactose, as every time I have any cheese, milk, even yoghurt - it flares up usually within about 12 hours, sometimes sooner. Hoppe this helps. Trevor - behaviourskills.com

I get them as well. I believe it is a form of eczema and skin sensitivity, particularly to food. I asked my doctor about it and she said it was because of my eczema. My recent online searches show that foods that are acidic or high in nickel can cause flare ups (tomato, for instance). I also get flare ups when I don't religiously moisturize my hands after I handle water. Try moisturizing with lotion made without irritants (I use cetaphil) after each hand wash and stay away from foods that cause irritation... Mine were dairy products, chocolate and tomatoe. Hope that helps.
