    Murry lawnmower transmition
The transmition for my murry 38" lawn tractor will not ingage in any gear. I removed the rear end and tried taking it apart but could not. The gears seamed to engage while messing with it but when I reinstalled it it still did not work. Is there a way to take the transmition apart with out breaking it.

    Hi,
If it is a Peerless (and some Spicer) transaxle, count to 17. If less than that, look for more bolts. There is one in the center that is visible and accessible by removing the input sheave.
    Peace,
