    Washer/dryer hook ups
    Hi,
The house I am looking to rent does not have any washer/dryer hook ups and it would really be a hassle to go to the laundymat, so I was wondering if there are any options? I really have no idea but someone mentioned hooking up a compact washer and dryer to the kithchen sink or somewhere in the bathroom... is this possible? Any info will help. Thanks!

Generally, adding w/d hookups is not a big deal - so I'd bring it up with the landlord: negotiate with him to add them and maybe offer to pay half... or a small bit extra in rent each month.

Technically, you could hook any washing machine to a faucet - and drain it into a sink... but all this is a pain. If it were me I'd negotiate with the landlord instead.

I just inherited my sister's 8 year old washer and dryer (gas). The super came by and told us he would need to replace some of the hook-ups, for a total of $170. That seems a little bit expensive.
