    Cost to repair the condenser
My A/C stopped working. I had Home Warranties to send someone down to check the problem. They found out that the air conditioning system as the compressor is full of mud, the evaporator coil is full of leaks from the dirt impacting the system and unit ran without freon, the condenser coils are dirty, water in condenser which rusted out from oxidation and blower dirty.

I'm waiting for the A/C guy out to give me the estimate of reparing it. I would like to know based on your profession, usually how much does it cost to repair? The reason I ask is to give me an idea roughly the cost so I can compare to this A/C guy estimate without overcharging me. Thank you for your help.

Cost of line repair? [ 3 Answers ]

I've been quoted about $2,300 to repair the line running from my house to the sewer. It's between 50-60 feet, with a clean-out pipe near the house. The depth is probably about 4 feet at the shallowest point and around 8 or 9 feet or so at the deepest. It does not appear that the water line runs...

Central A/C system turns on using thermostat however, no air blows out of vents. Inspected condenser fan and noticed it was not running. AC condenser wiring [ 6 Answers ]

I am in desperate need of a wiring diagram or wiring info for my condenser unit. I had a repairman out to repair the unit when it quit cooling. As it turned out he was not a repairman but a rip off instead. The problem was the fan motor. When he attempted to install an old used single sp motor in...
