    Want to get pregnant
I just wanted to know how am I suppose to get pregnant when I have irregular periods. I have been trying to get pregnant since September and I am not yet pregnant and we are now in June. I have jotting when I get my period but I am starting to get confused between the facts of getting your period, days that you are spotting before your period. Do not know which days to go by?
In February, it was around the 5th
In march, it was around the 5th
In April, it was twice April 2 roughly and April 29 roughly
In may 28-29, so what now??

I already have a child and we got pregnant with him the first time we had intercourse that month I got pregnant.

    Please I am anxious!!

Actually your periods are fairly regular going by those dates... cycles are about 27-29 days.

Remember to count the days from the first day of bleeding until the day before the next period starts. Then you start with day one again on the day that period begins.

If you think of it as starting on the 5th and that you should continue to start on the 5th of each month, that will give you slightly irregular cycles since there are not the same number of days in each month.

Is your situation one that allows you to have sex on a fairly regular basis? If possible about every other day throughout each cycle? If not, you can start with counting back about 12-16 days before a period would be due (a general guide of when you might be most likely to ovulate) and also watch for possible signs of ovulation... more discharge that becomes more fluid and clear, perhaps with some slight cramping, you could try ovulation predictor kits or temping and charting for a few months. These work well for some women, but not for others however.

It is important to watch for possible signs as well because not everyone ovulates within the norm. Concentrating all of your efforts on just those few days may cause you to miss the window of opportunity. It can be helpful to add several days before that, and a few afterwards for good measure.

If you have not had success after a few more months, you may want to visit your doctor, along with your partner, to discuss the possibility of some initial testing to be sure all is well. Even though you have had a child, some couples do find it difficult to conceive again... which often suprises them.

    Good luck!
