Am I blowing this out of proportion?
Bare with me here :) I had a friend, "Sara" and fell madly in love with another one of my friends, "Zack". Well after months and months of Sara being in love with Zack, he finally asked her out. And she's on cloud nine for the next few weeks. Then Zack drops a bomb on her, and then dumps her not too long after. (The bomb was he told her he still liked
Someone else, but he broke up with her because they didn't spend enough time together, they go to different schools, even though he would brush off her phone calls). So Sara is absolutley heartbroken. She starts cutting herself, is suicidal, has to go to a shrink, she's torn apart. And Zack really doesn't care. But then, a few weeks later, Zack starts going out with another one of our friends, "Britany". Britany and Sarah were best friends, and I always thought that you were not supposed to date the boy that broke your best friends heart, especially when it's only about 2 weeks after. So I got extremely mad, and then I decided to not go with my initial react to yelling at her, and I would camly talk it out. And when I tried to Britany just sat there on the computer the whole time, and didn't listen to anything I had to say. Zack was with us too and both of them just started in on this bashing-fest of Sara. Like they had to justify what they did. So I got up and just left. I emailed Britany that night, explaining how I felt about this situation, how much it hurt Sara even more, and that I really expected more out of her. I just got done talking with Britany on chat, I've given up doing it face to face, and she told me she got my email and that she's breaking up with Zack tomorrow. I told her that won't change how I feel about what she did, but she's doing it anyway. And she doesn't even want to. The conversation really didn't go anywhere. I think she's just tired of people being mad about it, so she's just going to break up with Zack. Not that she feels sorry for what she did.
So my question is, am I blowing this out of proportion? A lot of people agree with the fact that it's pretty low, but some people think Sara should just get over it. I just don't like seeing my friends hurt, and I'm not going to let people get away with it. I hate it when girls put guys before their friends. And when they don't care when they hurt someone. Am I blowing this out of proportion, and is it worth losing friends over?

You're the sort of friend I like to have around. You know what's right and wrong and you're not afraid to tell someone when they're in the wrong. Sara does need to get over it. But it's going to take time. And brittany should be helping sara through her tough time, not adding to the problem. I think you did the right thing. Hopefully brittany will learn from this experience. Because you don't start dating your friends ex just like that. Even with the blessing of your friend, dating their ex can be bad territory.

I had to spread the rep, but I couldn't agree more.

Yes, I agree, she should get over it, and I think she will eventually. But I'm not going to be the one to tell her, especially now, like one of my friends thinks I should. She thinks that it's been long enough and that I'm being stupid acting like this.

So thank you all very much. I was afraid I was being irrational about this, I didn't think I was, but I didn't know if I was reacting too much, or everyone else just wasn't reacting enough. THANKS AGAIN!
