    Long-distances
    Can a long-distance relationship last for 7 years? What is the maximum number of years a long-distance relationship can last for? Can a long-distance relationship work between a University student and a college student? Please be honest.

    Any relationship can last as long as the both of you want it to last. But, can you handle the pressures of being apart. (lonelyness, hornyness)

    While "technically" it is possible to have a 7 year long distance relationship work out, it's a highly unlikely scenario.

    People change a lot over time... especially young people that are still growing up. It would be something very special for young individuals (like the students you mention) to be able to remain connected in a true relationship that spans 7 years as a long distance relationship.

    It could happen though... :)

    From my personal experience, I would say yes, it could last. It really depends on how comfortable you are in dealing with distance/time apart.

    Well, OK. From personal experience I believe it can BUT it's a hard call.

    I went through for just over a year, and trust me when I said it was hard, difficult and heart aching.

    Long distance relationships are based on trust. If you have a slight worry then its not worth the pain. Also its very very important that you make thing clear between you, and plan where you stand, go over things and get things straight, everything needs to be a MUTUAL decission.

    My long distance relationship lasted just over 1 year because we couldn't stand being apart so at 20, I packed my bags, left home, and went to Live with him in UK. 7 years down the line, and we are happily married :D

    OK 7 year is a bit over board I think about 3 year max but if you really like this person or even love them then it could work and if you have a car you should take the time and make the trip hope this helps you

    There is no law stating the minimum and maximum amount of years a long distance should be.
    The truth is though, I think its not healthy for it to last that long, if you truly love and want each other sacrifice's need to be made in such an istance and either 1 of you should move near the other to fulfil that relationship otherwise its pointless, or another option is move somewhere new together and let your relationship grow.

    I am going to be honest with you,, NO It just doesn't happen that way, The not seeing each other is going to get to you and him too,, and the truth is no man in this earth have been able to stay faith ful for that long... But there is that one percent that he could be that one... percent... so ride as long as you can if you love him... just keep that in the back of your mind... GOOD LUCK!!

    The distance between factors into this. If there are only a few hundred miles between you, it may last a little longer. East coast/west coast relationships are harder. Don't be surprised if the communication starts to wane. Guys will probably cheat because they are horny. Girls will probably cheat because they are lonely. If it doesn't last, try not to let it affect your schoolwork. It probably wasn't meant to be and you will probably bump into someone that better suits you where you are.
