DVD VHS player for a T.V.
My Samsung DVD VHS player is broken. It works for tapes (VHS) but when you put a DVD disc in you hear the movie but the screen is black. What should I do? Buy a new machine or just clean it? It was working fine and then it just stopped playing DVDs. Is there a button on my remote I am not using?

    Thanks, HELP!

If you can hear the DVD but there's no video, the Laser, one of the more common items to fail, must be OK. There's probably an electronic problem in the video amplifier circuitry.

I'd ask for an estimate at a local electronic repair shop. If it costs more than half the price of a new one, buy a new one.
