    Heat Pump
    Hi,
I took a little bit of HVAC class, and was told that in the summer, the outside unit is supposed to trow out hot air and bring in cold one, but I am having the opposite. The thermostst is turned to the coldest and I am still getting heat. What do I need to do?

Wel first of all you will need to find out if it is your heatpump putting out heat, or if it is in the ac mode and you heating elements are on. Do you have a amp or volt meter?

Yes the heat pump is putting out heat, and it is in the ac mode. I also checked the condenser, it freezes for some time, then all the freez goes away in like 3 minutes

Now I am confused, if you heatpump is putting out heat it can not be in the ac mode. Have someone stand outside and go in and tunr it back to heat and then back to ac and listen for the reversing valve to swosh outside.
