    Hydrogen peroxide on teeth
The major ingredient in my teeth whitening trays in hydrogen peroxide. What would happen if you just dipped your tooth brush in hydrogen peroxide and brushed your teeth with it? Would that be damaging in any way or are the teeth whitening people afraid to let that far less costly method be known?

Can't speak for the rest of the World but one time I had this very brilliant idea. Brushed my teeth and then rinsed my mouth with straight peroxide. I actually had burn blisters inside my lips and on my gums.

Yes but in what concentration? Its really not safe to use like that in the concentration that you would need to bleach teeth

My husbands dentist reccommends it. It helps prevent gum disease, and kills a lot of the bacteria. So it is safe. I also brush once a week with baking soda.. It works.

3% solution of hydrogen peroxide is fine to use occasionally. I wouldn't recommend using it daily. Find another antibacterial rinse to alternate with.
