    Does baby oil work?
    HI there,

I have a friend that swears by baby oil instead of lotion. She slathers herself in it and says that it makes her skin incredibly soft. Does this work? It seems that it would make you break out. Wouldn't it stain your clothes? Would it remove a tan?

I don't swear by baby oil but do use it for removing mascara. Use it on my legs after a tan. No it doesn't stain, it is very light, only mineral oil actually. I use other lotions such as St. Ives with Vitamin e to keep my skin supple, especially after a shower while your skin is still damp. Good time to use baby oil too, after a shower.

Awesome, thanks for the advice. SO, using it after a tan. Does that make the tan stay longer?

Also, is that what makes supermodels legs so shiny?

Yes, chi, it probably is what makes their legs look shiny because as I understand it, they don't use expensive stuff, just basic and quick, so yes, baby oil would fill that bill cause you can buy it in big bottles and a little goes a long way.

I don't know if the tan stays longer after baby oil, I use it to make my legs look shiny. Normal moisturizer makes tan stay longer and my trick after many years of finding out is don't wash tanning lotion off in a shower at the end of the day, just towel off and shower next day.

Oh ick. See I can't do that cause I go tanning at the gym, so I usually tan then go work out. Perhaps that's why I got to go so much...

But I dig the baby oil shiny legs deal. I'm on board!

My ex used to use it on his face, it boggled my mind. I'd break out for sure if I did that

Lol I love baby oil. I always tell people to use it. It doesn't stain your clothes unless you are too oily. One good tip is to put it on right after a shower when your skin it a little damp. Don't put on too much though.
I have found recently that I get closer shaves after I have it on for a day and then shave. It makes your hair soft too.
