    Preeclampsia at 38 weeks?
    Howdy y'all,

    Okay here's the situation:

I'm a married 19 year old with first child on the way. The pregnancy has been a smooth sail most of the way. Did have an abnormal adominal pain few months back which was deemed as muscle pain and long since has been resolved.

I am currently 38 weeks and already am 1 cm 1/2 dialated and am due on June 10th according to the Ultrasound.

However in the past month or so, I've struggled with severe swelling in the feet that does not go away despite all efforts to avoid salty foods, and constantly putting feet up and nightly walks to get things moving around. I can even press a finger on it and it'll leave an indentation for a good several minutes.

I have noticed that every time my blood pressure was taken it's always up in the 138-140 over something which is abnormal for me, I've always had 118-120 over something and no history of high blood pressure.

I've been told that the lab tests have detected some traces of protein in my urine and despite all that, my doctor constantly tells me that there's nothing to worry about and that it's normal.

Oddly, despite being a first timer, I keep having the feeling of something not being right yet am told otherwise.

My baby is still active and whatnot but since last Wed, she just hasn't been like her normal self but still moves enough to not raise any alarm. My doc did say that her heart rate was a little high at last week's prenatal but again, nothing to worry about. Which is starting to annoy me, I can't help but to feel that she isn't being serious or truly watching out for the baby's well being.

Last night I had gotten into an intense verbal argument with my husband which left me in tears and extremely upset that I noticed my upper lip tingling and so when I went to look in the mirror, my face had swelled up like a balloon. My hands were fine however. Within the hour, after calming down, my face returned to normal. This worries me some.

I'm constantly asked by my doctor about headaches and adominal pains but I haven't had any that has been constant. I get a real bad ringing in the ears now and then, more at night than during the day and I had a bad pressure kind of headache that did go away this morning that followed after the swelling of my face.

My left ribs has been very bothersome since last night as well and hasn't let up, and I've had that pain before when the baby would be pushing on it, but she isn't pushing on it and the doc has told me that her head is down in place and whatnot.

According to my research, the headache and the pain does not match up with preeclampsia.

The baby has been moving around, so I still know she is all right so far. My prenatal is tomorrow so I guess I'll see what the doc has to say. It does still bother me some that I feel like I'm being brushed off. Is this normal?

One other thing, I keep hearing about pregnant women struggling with back pains, I haven't had any at all but feels like the nerve by the tailbone, butthole has been set off or something-- it hurts so bad in the mornings or when first getting up from a nap that I can barely walk, but then within the hour it goes away--- anyone experience that? What is it? My doctor again has not given me any clear answers on that. I like to be told up straight so I can be down with the game and not left wandering about in the dark.

Let me know what y'all thoughts are on this.

    Thanks! :)

P.S. I don't know if this is of any importance but I've been experiencing nausea in the past two weeks on and off. It just hits me like a wall and then slowly fades away. I didn't have any morning sickness in the first Tri, so am unsure if this is remotely normal?
