    Adding a light switch
    How do I add a light switch to an existing overhead light (pull chain)? Thank you.

    You run a 2-wire cable from the light fixture to the desired switch location. You connect the white of this cable to the hot (black) in the light fixture box. You connect the black of the cable to the black of the light fixture. At the switch you connect the black and white to the switch.
