Thinning Hair
I am a twenty-year old female, and for the past few weeks I've noticed that I've been losing hair. Whether I'm brushing it, running a hand through it, or anything like that, I end up with many, many strands at a time in my hand or on the brush. I naturally have very fine hair, but I've always been told that I have a lot of it it. But this is really starting to concern me. I got a perm about three weeks ago, but this had actually been going on for a few weeks before that. I don't know what to do.

I cannot determine what's causing your thinning hair over the Internet. There's several factors that can cause the hair to shed or fall out, such as birth control pills, iron deficiency, insufficient protein, ringworm and chemicals in hair care products. I recommend that you consult a doctor. The doctor will ask you some questions and examine you to determine the cause of it.
