Meeting up with an ex after 3 months apart.
Hi guys, I am new to this forum and thought I would seek some meaningful advice in you all.
I was going out with a girl for 8 months and we split up over 3 months ago and haven't seen each other for over a month and the contact between us has been minimal.
However, she is in a relationship with someone else and I am now seeing someone different. Will this complicate things?
It took me so long to get over my ex girlfriend but now I feel like I am over here I see meeting her as a challenge.
We were very close but we split up because of lack of trust and constant arguments.
To be honest, I think she still has feelings for me. In her text message she conveyed that she is looking forward to seeing me.
Anyway I am seeking advice because I don't want to fall into the trap of getting too close to her again. We have both admitted that we don't work as a couple so I really don't want to be feeling like that. Any ideas on how I can prevent myself from effectivelly falling into this trap?
How do you guys think I should play this?
I am meant to be meeting her on Saturday; last time she didn't show up, but when I bumped into her on a car park she was very friendly and we didn't mention the relationship and the outcomes etc.
Any advice would be beneficial on how I should tackle this.

    Cheers
    Dan

Sometimes it is best for you to leave your past in the past.

You are already having doubts to being her friend and questioning her intentions. And you stated being her friend is going be challenging. Then the last time you made plans to meet she didn't show.

Why open this door again? You both are in relationships and I am sure each of you have friends so you don't need each other as friends.

Enjoy your relationship and your friends you already have. No more contact with the ex because you don't need her in life and if she was in your life she would only confuse it and mess up everything you worked so hard on--getting over her.

    No more of the ex.

Leave the door closed, meeting up with your ex is not a wise idea. Perhaps ask your girlfriend if she would mind you going and meeting up with your ex.
