Being sued for an old debt, incorrect information on document
Hello. I am being sued for a bill to a veteranarian from January 2007. However, when I printed the public record they show that I have owed the bill since 2006. This is incorrect. Can I do something about this.. If they can't even get the correct date on this debt I don't feel I should owe as much as they say I do. Thanks.

Can you figure out the difference in the interest and fees and tell them they are over charging you for that amount?
Let them know that they have it wrong and you are disputing the difference.

I notice you aren't denying the debt, just the details of the complaint. You are entitled to ask the plaintiff for an exact accounting of the amount being sued for and you can dispute that amount if you feel it was calculated incorrectly. However, a technicality like that is not going get you out of paying what you truly owe.
