Second Zone TH8110U1003 tstat not calling for AC
I have two Honeywell VisionPro TH8110U1003 tstats that you helped me connect in the winter. The first zone works fine for both heat and cooling (gas furnace / york AC unit)
I am attaching the connections for the control panel temp-a-troll and the two honeywell. The one with 6 wires is the zone 1 (1st floor) and the one with 3 wires is for the second floor. I checked all the setup parameters and they match for both tstats.
I would really appreciate your help. I had to remove them and re-install the old maple chase 9610 and everything is working again with the old tstats. I am at a loss and not sure if I need to get a different tstat for the second floor.
Thanks for your help
Francis.

Did you just replace the zone 2 stat with the Maple Chase?
Let's label the brown jackets as cables 1 to 6 from left to right, which is zone 1 and which is zone #2?
Can you help sort out the white wires from cable #2, and cable #6?
Label the terminal strips from left to right as well; TB1 through TB4. Thus TB1-Y and TB4-T6 are terminals.

If the other stat is a three terminal stat, I cannot see it not working. I hope you installed only 1 Maple Chase stat. That's my assumption.
Try: Param
0300 1 (Autochangeover)
0170 1 (Zone valves)
Try: Param
0300 0 (manual change over)
0170 1 (Zone valves)
And this as another case
0170 1 1Heat/1Cool conventional
0300 1 (Autochangeover)

Let me check in the morning for the labeling. I did replace both Visionpro's with the old maple chase. I tried replacing the second zone only and it did not work.
I had both at
0300 0 (Manual Changeover)
0170 1 (Zone valves)
I will try them tomorrow at 1/1 settings.
Thanks again
Thanks

Just try the non-working zone first. Keep the 6 wire Maple Chase and use the 3 wire as a Vision Pro.
Let's see if that can work first.
My guess, is that the 6-wire sets the system mode and the 3-wire follows it.
Check in both heat and cool modes.
The VP manual really doesn't suggest how the zone valve option works.
So, do a little experimenting with the 3-wire stat as a Vision pro; conventional;zone valves;auto/manual change over and see which works in heat and cool.
All of the above options might work.

I kept the Maple chase zone1 (6 wire) and replaced the 3 wire Maple chase with the VisionPro. It works with option 300 (as manual switchover). I am fine manually switching them.
Should I now replace the zone6 maple chase with the other VP?
Thanks. Sorry for the late response out visiting relatives for the Memorial Weekend break.
Thanks again
Francis,
PS. I am working on the labeling. I'll post a picture later tonight.

Your probably still busy and haven't posted a picture with the wires clearly seen.
If we can't manage to get the first stat to work on it's own, then we may be able to get it to work with an additional relay to generate both the O and B signals.
If there is space problems installing one, we might try one and I'll see if I can find something to fit inside the controller.
