    Is it legal for a workman's comp doctor to send a employee back to work with stitches and swelling in hand

    Yes, they may get sent back to work with a cast on their arm if the work they do allows for this or if the company they work for makes proper accomidation.

    Is there any reason you can't do your work, what type of work do you do.
