    Mess
Another trivial question but would be great if I got some help... Does anyone have any tips on keeping a clean house that has dogs in it? I have four big dogs and I struggle to keep on top of the mess they create by... bringing things in from the yard, shedding, shaking their slobber up the TV and walls, chewing objects up, the dust that comes out of their coats etc etc. I have found that hard floors work better than carpet and to keep the yard swept so the leaves and twigs are not brought in but any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Of course I could just give up!

    Haha I have given up!

I also have hardwood floors, and I think it makes it harder!
At least with carpet it hides the dirt, with floorboards it shows up really bad.
I vaccuum the rugs and mop once a day.
My little evil ones love toilet rolls... luckily they actually shred them up into tiny little pieces that can be vaccuumed :p

For doggy odors and accidents in carpet the best thing to use is soda water, just dab a little onto the carpet, not so much that it makes it soaking wet, then dab it up with paper towel.

The slobber on the walls... well... my parents great dane is a major drooler! One time he shook his head after drinking when they weren't home and an over 1 meter long strand was hanging from the light fitting... it dried like a crystal!

Dogs are messy... cleaning every day is a must... it sucks :(
