    Depreciation methods
    Hi can you please help me with the following question.

    Q1. Machinery deprecation using stright-line method for 10 years. Machinery cost £23100. I would like to know, how can I work that out?




    Q2. Vehicle Depreciated using reducing balance at 36% pa (3.65% per month) Vehicle cost £13500. I would like to know, how can I work that out?

    Q1. Annual straight-line depreciation expense = (cost less salvage/residual)/life

    Q2. Depending on whether you want annual or monthly depreciation, just use the 36% or the 3.65% - there's not exactly a lot to work out there.
