    Have you practiced "cutting"?
    Has anyone here ever practiced cutting, self mutilation or some other form of self inflicted harm? If so, what was your reasoning behind it. What was your experience through it. Have you stopped?
    I have found a few teenagers in the youth at our church that have practiced this to some degree. Any help would be appriciated

    I have moved your post since it is not related to religion and is more of a teen and/or mental health issue

    For some reason cutting and other self harm has became popular as method of temp escape from emotional or other problems in their lives.

    The ones doing this need professional help since they can not deal with the issues in their life in a rational method as others do.

    I never have but I understand it is becoming quite in vogue. They call them self Emos. As in emotional people?
