    Lost savings bonds
    I have been trying to find my us savings bonds my grandfather left me but I have no serial numbers. My mom had them and some people stolde them and some are out there somewhere and some she said she had to hide and she recently died from breast cancer and that's all I know for the most part ss is having a hard time finding them is there any advice you can give me? I have up to 10,000-$20,000 and I need help!!

    dreaszco: Your info is sketchy but, if your grandfather bought bonds specifically for you, the bonds would have had to have either your grandfather's social security number or yours and probably would have been issued in both of your names. No one else could legally cash them.

    I would contact the US Treasury with an email giving them as much information as you can. I'm patching the link below.
