Hello all, I have this shower diverter that needs to be replaced. I have a photo of it. My question is do I have to replace this whole unit? I can't figure out how to get the piece with the knob seatings off.

SITUATION: We have 2 houses that both have the SAME shower/bath diverter problem. (Houses differ in age and water pressure so I seriously doubt it's 'their' problem.) My husband replaced the diverters with all new parts in each of the houses... :confused: WHY are we still getting water...

The pull-up diverter in the shower spout just suddenly ceased working this morning. There is no change in the flow of water when it is pulled upward.
