    Drain leaks
I've just installed a new tub in my single wide, space and access is limited. All my pvc joints are leakless, however when I installed the metal drain into the pvc elbow I must have done something wrong because when I tested the tub that is where it leaked.
How can I tighten that metal drain piece from above? or do I need to cut some pvc and take the tub out to get to it?

    Hey Dave...

You need access to the nut after the tub is set... no getting around that. You will either cut in an access panel from behind the tub and tighten the nut from there or you climb under the trailer and reach up to tighten the nut...

    No getting around that... sorry!

    Excellent advice from Mark,
As a old factory mobile home plumber back in the 70's let me add that if you go in from the bottom you will have to cut through the sub-floor and insulation to reach the trap. Much easier to cut in a access panel and then you'll have one. Good luck, tom
