smelly drains in shower and kitchen sink
I saw the responses for the smelly drains, my question is, I am on a septic system and I am concerned about pouring so much bleach into it. We are having problems in the main bathroom shower. The septic system is right outside our bedroom and the entire house smells of soap scum and sewer. We tried baking soda, rid x nothing is working. It seems to be the worst when the weather gets warmer. HELP

A septic tank can handle quite a bit of bleach with no ill effects if you are doing normal washes and normal flushing of human waste. If you are getting bad smells start searching for a bad toilet wax ring or a cracked or disconnected vent stack.
