What used car should I get?
I'm looking to find a used car with about 30k mileage on it and around 4k$ what type of car and what year model would be good to look for in terms of reliability. How much does it cost to get it checked by a professional to make sure it's in working order?

30 thousand mile, did you mean to say 300,000 miles maybe for 4000 dollars?

Sorry but I have not seen a car with that few miles for that price in, well this decade.

    Hi again, mimi888!

For a number of years now, the Toyota Camry has been the best selling car in the United States. I have one and have been very pleased with it! I bought it used. They have an engine that's reputed to last for 200,000 miles or more.

That's just one suggestion that I have.

Hopefully, others will come up with other suggestions for you.

    Thanks!

How much money can you afford to spend, please? A lot of times when I try to buy something, new or used, I try to talk the seller down in the price.

    Thanks!

    Honda Accord or Civic
    Toyota Camry or Corolla

Check the Consumer Reports used car guide at your local public library.

Would it not be possible for you to make payments for a car over a number of months?

    Thanks!

Monthly payments? Do they accept credit card? ( I'd pay with a student line of credit)

It's possible. But, you would need to speak with them personally.

    Thanks!
