Please, Please try help me out here. Thanks so much! :)

Sounds like something simple - perhaps your friend in the US does not have your correct address in the UK.

Maybe she is not using enough postage. She should go to her local post office and ask for help from a clerk.

Sorry but she may just not be sending it and telling you a story,
If it has the correct postage and has the correct adddress it will go out
And it is also very simple if it is returned, it will be stamped ( rubber stamped) why.

If the items are being returned there should be a reason given by the shipper.

Assuming your friend isn't lying to you, send her here to find everything about Great Britain:
Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Then send her here:
122 Addressing
If the postage is correct, addressed in a proper manner, packaged in a proper manner, she has the correct customs form for parcels, and doesn't break any customs rules or anything, it should get there. If there were simply any duties to be paid, you should still be contacted so I doubt it's that. I've shipped stuff on eBay to the UK plenty enough times with no issues - their postal system seems to work just fine. (It's not like she's trying to ship to Italy or something.)

Agreed, I ship to the UK, France and even to many places in Africa on a regular basis and never a problem
