    Let's try again!
I posted a question a couple of days ago but no one responded - so I will try again!

I have a Whirlpool washer (model # 110-24042301) that will fill but won't drain or spin (I have let it set and tried it in all positions.) I have tried to get the console off - there are no screws in the back or front - I'm thinking the console is released by hidden clips.

Once I finally get the console and cabinet off I will be able to see what's wrong. Am I right in thinking that it is the coupling?

I came home to find the tub full, tried all positions but can't get it to operate. I hear a humming and if it's left on for a while, I smell something like electrical wires (not rubber).

    Hope this is enough information.

    Please help.

I can't help you with the washer's transmission or drive mechanism, because I know very little about them. However, the Whirlpool site for manuals can be found here:

    Whirlpool Product Literature Search

Unfortunately, I didn't find one with your model number.
