    Light spotting, negative pregancy test
    I have been on the pill for years now and take it pretty regularly (although I did take a pill late one night this month). I started my period yesterday but it is really light compared to usual, with more brown that red. I have had a cold the last week with a headache and sore throat, but the last few days I have no appetite and the thought of eating makes me feel sick.
    I have been having sex with my boyfriend and we have been using the pull out method in addition to me being on the pill, and I took a pregnancy test this afternoon and it came out negative. I am wondering if its likely I am pregnant, and when I should test again?

    It's possible, but unlikely. It may be that being recently ill was just enough to change things a bit for you... even if that has never been an issue before.

    Give it another week or two and try another test at that time if you still feel your period was very unusual for you. Do continue with your birth control pills however, as you will want to keep that level of protection going.
