Dog is sometimes aggressive towards me
My dog is a 3-year-old chihuahua/minpin. Recently, he's been growling at me and sometimes snapping at me, when other times he's perfectly fine. Last time, he was laying in bed with my mom and when I walked into the room, he started barking like crazy and as I walked over, his fur stood up and he kept barking and growling. I reached my hand out to let him sniff it, but he tried to bite me and as I walked away he jumped at me and tried to bite me again. And when I saw him the next day, he was perfectly normal. So why does he get like that sometimes? And only towards me?
I think he's been acting like that ever since this one incident. My grandpa's dog went missing and I went out in the woods to find her. I did find her, but she was hurt and I picked her up and carried her to the vet. When I got home, I was covered in dog blood. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but he was flipping out that day when he smelled the blood.

Does your dog only behave this way when he is hanging out with your mom? Maybe he's protective of her?

That's an excellent webpage, Shaz! Got to spread love before I green you, but that nailed it.

Inaru, you and your mom need to go over that info together, along with anyone else in the house. You all need to coordinate the training to resolve this behavior.
