Princess dog will not get feet wet to go potty
My dog is house trained, however, I am having a really hard time getting her to go outside after it has rained. We have tried shoes and she does not like them. She is crate trained, and whe we get home, we take her outside, but she refuses to go out onto the bark dust. She will not go on wet grass, and will not potty outside her own yard. Please help!

LOL I have a princess who does not like to get her feet wet either. I have to just make her go out anyway. If you wait long enough she will go. You might freeze or get wet too, but the only way is to wait her out and out last her. That is the only thing that works with my little princess. Eww wet feet yuk. Oh well she will get over it. Make sure you have a towel to dry her feet as soon as she does her business, mine loves the attention and likes to have her feet rubbed. But that only happens if she does her stuff outside. Sorry to ramble so much. Hope this helps.

Most dogs are "surface specific." If they like to go in the grass, they will whether it's wet or not. I have a princess too. When the grass is even a little damp she will do her stuff on the dry concrete. This is only right by the back door so it needs to be cleaned frequently whenever it rains.

She is really funny on camping trips where she cries to be carried across any stream that can not be jumped. Wait it out is good advise. It works. My princess is a Basenji though and after I waited once for 6 hours, yeah, I gave up... It's easier to clean off concrete. She will use newspaper if I put it down for her indoors.

Not much to avoid it I'm afraid... unless you want to build a sheltered area over your back door...

I know I wouldn't go outside in the rain to pee.

Princess with magic ring [ 1 Answers ]

I saw this movie when I was younger. It had to be a late 80's early 90's production. It was a about a princess who had this ring that when she put it on a golden string came out of it and led her to a secret door. There were also trolls in it, I believe they captured her but eventually she defeated...
