    Bottlebrush root depth
Does anyone know the depth of the root system for a bottlebrush tree; I've got a couple of them that I need to relocate - they're five years old and they're eight plus feet tall.

Hi, houston, kind of a loaded question because no one can know exactly, by any type of tree, what the root system would be like after that much growth. I understand this type of tree grows rapidly so you have probably had it for, what, 4 years ? Conditions are completely different in any part of the country. I am from Ontario, so if I had one of these trees, depending on sun, rain, the roots growth would be entirely different then say, MIssouri.

Just start digging, locate the tap root which will be the biggest thickest one going down, get as much of that as you can and start removing. The little roots ae secondary.

    Hope this helps.
