Hook up salt walter pool filter
Hi I just got a salt water pool filter put in . I have to hook up the electric salt filter to the timer. It looks pretty cut and dry. The timer controls the 220 outlet that has the pool filter on it . I was thinking it would be easy for me to tap into the out let as as appose to wiring it to the timer it self. Not sure how to do this. The salt filter has 1-red 1-blk and 1-green wire.. Question dose the red go to red and blk to blk? P.S. The pool guy said they always wire it to the timer. Not sure how to do this.. thanks

If the Filter is on with the pump, and both are 240 Volts, you should be OK if you don't exceed the Circuit capacity.
Red to red and black to black. Polarity is not important, and will work correctly with red to black and black to red. Best to keep the colors together though.
    Ground is Important.

Don't forget the #8 solid bond wire to the other equipment/pool.
