Landlord not willing to fix apartment
I live in an apartment in Columbus Ne and have 3 small children. We have been telling our landlord about problems in the apartment, like mold in the bathroom, windows leaking, water coming in from under the front door, and all he ever does is brings a fan over and dries out the carpet. I called him today about the mailbox not opening and he said that it is not his responsibility and he is going to raise our rent. He also said that if we moved out then he would fix the problems in the apartment. I have no lease and I was wondering what I can do to get him to fix the problems in the apartment.

Have you spoken to a local real estate law lawyer? Slum lords are looked on fairly harshly in most areas. You may be able to find a pro bono lawyer also.
