Ok so I am a 16 year old girl. I live in a small town and I used to be really shy. I never really talked to anyone. But a few years ago at school I started talking to these girls who I really got along with. We continued talking up for a few years but haven't talked much in the last year because I am getting home schooled. One of the girls I started talking to I really started to like. She was very funny and smart and I thought she was cute though she wasn't skinny. I am not skinny either. Over that summer she lost a lot of weight and I didn't see her until the next year. I was surprised that she looked like she did. Very slim and tan and very beautiful. I was attracted to her more then before but I had never told her I liked her. Half way through the school year I wound up telling her that I liked her.I told her over the computer. It wasn't suppose to happen. I wasn't planning on telling her and I am glad that I did. She talked to me after that and we hung out and nothing was weird between us. She flirted with me and I was happy about it but she never told me she liked me until one day she almost did. She said everything BUT I like you. Even one of her friends said it sounded like she did. But nothing ever came of it. Its been a almost a year now (11 months) since I have really talked to her. I still think about her everyday and I can't stop. She came to see me the other day but didn't stay long but just seeing her made me happy all week. I just don't know why I still feel like I love her. So my question is, its been so long and I still feel this way, does that mean that I am in love. Or is it something else.

Have you asked her why she hasn't really been talking to you lately?
Maybe after thinking about it she did feel a little uncomfortable but didn't want to ruin the friendship.

Flirting can often be mistaken for friendly getures.

You could try throwing some subtle hints out there that you still really like her and then it's up to her whether she decides to act on them or not. Don't push her though or you might end up losing her friendship completely.

It seems that you have a great affection towards this girl friend of yours. I guess you must be in a dilemma to whether she shares the same feeling as you are towards her. It may appears to be pretty misleading. Especially after you have confessed to her, no reply was given, yet she shown through her gesture?

Love is pretty hard to find, especially for a 16 year old.
While it is possible, I very much doubt it.

It is kind of hard to explain. Like she would sit on my lap and she would say things that she never really said. Like I love you and things of that nature. She would say she likes me then say I am just kidding.
