    Ceiling fan
I have a 1970's kenmore ceiling fan and we have lost the remote control. What brand should I buy to replace and will I need the transmitter replaced too? Thank you

I'm not sure if any remote will work with that fan as it is very old. I would try a universal replacement and see if you can find a frequency to match.

How many blades does the fan have? If 5, it may have been made by Litex and Harbor Breeze remotes should work. Litex is still in business. If 4, it's probably a Lasko or Emerson. I could ID it from a picture.
