Replacement pull swich for ceiling fan lights.
My ceiling fan light kit is at least 20 years old. I cannot discern a maufacturers name anywhere. The pull chain for the lights broke off inside the switch. It's a 2-wire switch, and all I want to do is replace it. This isn't a technical question per se, I just want to know where I can purchase a replacement for it. Doing a Google search for "pull switch+lighting+ceiling fan" and all the variations turned up nothing useful. Would I find a switch at Home Depot, Lowe's, a ceiling fan retailer, an electrical parts store, or..

Ceiling fan light pull chain replacement [ 5 Answers ]

Pull chain on the ceiling fan light broke off, so I pulled it down, and figured out what to buy, but at some point one of the two black wires going to it came loose, presumably out of a screw cap. Does it just go in the cap with the other black load wires (3 still together)? Do I understand...

Ceiling fan pull switch replacement [ 1 Answers ]

We have a 2-speed ceiling fan, but could only find a 3-speed pull switch to replace the old one. Will this work on our 2-speed fan? Anything specific I need to know? I've never done any electrical wiring so any help you can offer, I will certainly appreciate.

Dimming by pull chain the ceiling fan lights [ 1 Answers ]

I have no wall switch for my ceiling fan lights or the fan itself. I wish to find a 3 position pull chain light switch so I can have OFF, FULL AND DIM for the lights. For DIM I would put a IN 4003 diode in series with that position wire. - That would give me 1/2 dimming. My problem is: I can't find...
