He will have to start building his credit from zero and it may take years depending on how he does it, so if you're in a rush to buy a home, you may have to do it in your name only.

Also as a provisional, isn't it correct he will have to show proof of being able to provide for family? How can he secure a job if he has to show documents in order to work?
**What is the adjustment of status? Is that the 440 form or another? Is there a fee for that?
