Living with my partner in GA. For around 7 years. She wants me out NOW!
Hello. I have been living with my partner in Atlanta,GA. For around 7 years now. We lived together in Florida before here, and that was for about 3 years. We have been engaged for 6 1/2 years. We have a house, and the loan, and title is in her name only, due to my bad credit. Of course she was going to add me, but never did. We are separated now, and still living together as roomates. I wanted to draw up a contract for settlement, but she said she won't sign anything. I have been paying the entire mortgage for around 2-3 years out of my bank account. Everything was fine as roomates, until she met a man, and liked him a lot. 3 days later, she said she wants me out, and out ASAP. What would be the process for her to kick me out if I am not ready to leave? If I do leave, can she keep my personal property that is in the house? She says I can come back for my things, but what if she just changes the locks, & says too bad? The break up was mutual. Never abusive, and I never cheated on her.

    Already Tried:
She says she will draw up a contract now for money, but still wants me to leave all of my things, and to get out asap. I must be an inconveinance, because she cannot have her new man over. I am packing, but I am slow, and don't like the pressure. She is very demanding.

For one thing if you have that address as an established residence her only option it to evict you. Your other resolutions would be civil in nature because you ( provided you have proof ) can sue her for a portion of the investment made in the home. Mind you most of what's going on is going to have to do with the cost of litigation. Also your personal property is yours and not hers. If she were to change the locks you could go there with a police escort and remove your property in a reasonable amount of time and also give her notice of intent first. She also is not allowed to destroy your property either so keep that in mind and if your packing you might want to take photographic eveidence of your belongings.
