How to figure "cost of living" back child support
Hello, my child support is 816.18 a month, and is not being done through the courts. We were divorced in June of 06, and cost of living has not been factored in (by accident) and we are trying to figure out what the current cost would be, and what the back pay would be. I've looked at it several ways, and come up with very different figures. Help!

First big error since if it is not though the court, the payee can merely refuse to pay and there is no real legal recourse.

There are federal reports for the cost of living each year, that is normally the standard, used. The cost of living has rose very very little over the last couple years.

Also a very standard method is merely to put it to a percentage of his pay, so as he gets raises, you get raises since his raises is his cost of living increase
