When I was little my church had us watch these films about the end of time and the book of Revelations. I don't really remember much about them - only that they scared the krap out of me. They showed what would happen if you didn't go to heaven when God comes back. It showed people getting their heads chopped off and a lot of other gorry details. It was how people had to choose the mark of the devil or choose god. I think they were made in the 60's, the way I remember them dressed. I have the name of them on the tip of my tougue but just can't remember. Anyone have any idea??

I don't know the name but showing that film to children is a form of child abuse if you ask me. Talk about scare tactics and brain washing!

It may be far from what god is but sadly a lot of churches show videos and images like this.

The only end time movie I remember from the 60's was I Wish We'd All Been Ready.

I know in the 6th grade I had to watch the movies of Hitler and the concentration camps and how he gassed them after they were nothing but skin and bone. I suppose that was child abuse too.

Whether it is child abuse or not I think that Americans have it too easy and they look for a comfy religion where all they have to do is pray and get their desires. God is not a genie like many think and I think it is good to a degree to have a good dose of reality.

In other countries many people are murdered for their faith or who they are like the Jews in Hitlers day. Look at Ann Frank and Corrie Ten Boom they had it far from easy.
I have heard stories of mothers being killed as they shielded their son or daughter from being killed too. I am not saying this is good but sometimes I think we overprotect our kids from knowing the harsh reality that some people endure.
