    Lights shorting out
I have a 1978 chevy truck and a shop sprayed some wd40 into the steering column to make the shift slide easier. After I picked up the rig and was on my way home I noticed all of my brake, blinker, and brake lights were not working properly. Could spraying wd40 onto the blinker switch in the column cause all the lights to go haywire and if so what can I do to fix them?

It would likely help, not hurt the situation. Try spraying the brake light switch, just above the brake pedal, with WD-40.

Check all underdash and underhood fuses with a test light or multimeter:
