    GFCI receptacles in kitchen
    I am remodeling my kitchen. I have installed boxes for double receptacles. I want to install GFCI receptacles to meet code but I have a question.

    1. Can I install 2 GFCIs in series?
    2. Do I need too at all? Can I have one GFCI and one normal receptable in the same box and the GFCI protect both of them? (Dont know if this would meet electrical code though).

    Most GFCI receptacles are designed to have additional "normal" receptacles daisy-chained off them. There's probably a limit but it's tied to the supply breaker's rating rather than the GFCI. Can't answer whether this meets code or not but wouldn't hesitate to do this myself. My kitchen has two sets of receptacles (4 total) protected by just 2 GFCI's.

    An alternative would be to supply from the circuit breaker box with a GFCI breaker. This is a bit more expensive, not sure of advantages...
