Toshiba Laptop won't work until we activate on-screen keyboard
    Hi

I have Toshiba Satellite A135-S4487. My keyboard won't work until I activate on-screen keyboard.

I tried to uninstall keyboard drive from drive manager & restarting the system, but I did not find solution. I even checked BIOS settings.

To temprlly solve my problem I kept onscreen shotcut in startup folder.

Kindly let me know if I need to activate any service (services.msc) etc

I had a h/p laptop that had the same problem. In the keyboard device manager there is sometimes an option for power management like the nic card does. On occasion windows will override this setting. I tried reinstalling vista out of box. It worked... I don't know why but using the copy of windows it came with and doing a complete recovery didn't work. Even putting my hard drive into the same model of laptop and it did the same thing.
