    2. How has women's situation changed in the years 1940-1990?
    3. Evaluate the successes and failures of the African American civil rights movement from 1950 to 1970.
    4. Discuss the origins and effects of the rise of New Right conservatism since 1980.
    5. Discuss the social and cultural changes initiated in the 1960s and their long-term effects on America.
