Need assistance with shower flange that broke off
    Hi all:

I was replacing the shower flanges that connect the water pipe in the wall to the shower head, and had to use some force to get it off. In the process, I broke off a part of the threaded flange in the pipe in the wall. I don't want to tear apart the wall. Any suggestions? FYI, I'm extremely plumbing-challenged.

    Thanks very much.

You have broken off one of the ears of a drop eared ell. If you take a wood screw and secure the remainingear you should be OK. Your only other option would be to open up the wall and solder on a new one. Regards, Tom
