HELP! My daughter went to jail. I have a power of attorney to care for her children when she is not available. Child Protective Services took the children into custody. even though there were two family members present to take them. The will not allow the children to stay the night with us even though the judge gave us unsupervised visits. The case worker seems to have it out for my family. My grandchildren are currently presently placed with the paternal grandmother. They are used to being with the maternal side of the family on a daily basis. We go to court in 2 weeks, what do we need to do to get these people out of our lives? We have done nothing wrong. My grandchildren are miserable and want to come home. They are starting to act out at school also. Please help our family.

Why did child protective take them into custody in the first place? Makes no sense. What sort of a case did your daughter have to go to jail that they would take her children away? Where is the father? Why were the children placed with the other grandparents?

Is your daughter divorced from children's father? Or were they just living together? Did your daughter have legal sole custody of them?
