    Until you ask for. Then distribtuion should be made within one calendar quarter. But it could be longer depending on the administration of the plan. Plans are generally valued periodically. That period could be a month a quarter or even a year. So distribution generally takes place after the valuation following the resquest for distribution.

    Also, unless you are eligible for retirement you should be rolling the distribution into an IRA.

    First, please don't start a new thread with a follow-up. Use the Answer This Questions options. I've merged your threads for you.

    It is possible though unlikley that they could take that long. Have you asked the plan admins how long it will take? Did you request a distribution?
